OIDANOID

Are you ready for a blast from the past? Oidanoid is a retro inspired twin stick arena shooter that will test your skills and reflexes. In this game, you have to survive an endless wave of bad guys that will keep you on your toes.  Unlike most games you don't get any points for killing them, but don't worry, they also drop delicious biscuits that you can eat to score points and get power ups. The more biscuits you eat, the more points you score and the more power ups you can collect, such as extra lives, shields, better weapons and more. But be careful, not all of the bad guys are out to get you. Some of them have secrets that you need to discover in order to score big. Can you figure out their patterns and behaviors? Oidanoid is not just a simple shooter. It's a game of strategy, skill, and discovery.

HOW TO PLAY

Use the left stick to move and the right to fire.

Just killing the badguys does NOT get you any points, you have to collect the biscuits they drop. Careful though, they do disappear after a while.

Collect enough biscuits and a powerup token appears. Collect this for a short term advantage.  Missing a powerup means the next one will not be so nice.

Collect even more biscuits to get a score multiplier (up to x16?). Lose a life though and this goes back down.

Hints and Tips - Warning: May contain spoilers!

Most, but not all, of the badguys kill you if you touch them. That being said it's still best to avoid them.  Some may even help you if you can figure out how.

In the full version there are 2 extra game modes.  The first unlocks when you reach a certain level of ability.  A clue as to how to unlock the second is given once the first is unlocked - if you know where to look.

The shield does not protect you from everything, and contact with certain things will kill the shield.

Some monsters will not drop a biscuit if killed by the shield.

The green orb does not go after you.  Its sole purpose is to eat biscuits.
